Trinidad and Tobago Welcomes Fifth Summit of the Americas
Trinidad and Tobago, hosts of the Fifth Summit of Americas, advanced a warm Caribbean welcome to visiting leaders of the Western Hemisphere, which included US President Barack Obama.
The twin island rolled out the red carpet for an estimated 5000 visitors, that included 1,200 international media, business leaders and delegates who attended the summit.
Emperor Valley Zoo Enhancement and Development project launched
The Emperor Valley Zoo is set to enter a new phase in its growth with the launch of a new development plan which will bring major transformation to the facility.
Managed by the Tourism Developmet Company Ltd (TDC), the Enhancement and Development of the Emperor Valley Zoo project is aimed at developing the physical infrastructure and natural enviroment of the Port of Spain facility.

Three of Trinidad and Tobago's hottest young musicians kick started their Europe tour late last month in Germany. These hot musicians are supported by the Trinidad and Tobago Entertainment Company Ltd.
WATERFRONT PROJECT
Trinidad and Tobago is poised to develop into one of the region’s most viable and dynamic business tourism destinations.
The new Waterfront development Project is a pivotal infrastructural, improvement project resulting from the government’s national vision of attaining ‘developed nation status’ by the year 2020 and will dramatically change the efficiency and aesthetics of the Port.

NEW FERRY TERMINAL
The ease with which visitors can move between Trinidad & Tobago has been maximised by substantial investment into the sea-bridge that links the two islands. A new $18 million (£9.1 million), state-of-the-art ferry terminal in Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad is now fully operational.
The Port Authority of Trinidad & Tobago (PATT) manages a daily conventional ferry service and two fast ferries between the islands, the T&T Express and the T&T Spirit. SCARBOROUGH JETTY EXTENSION
Tobago’s cruise industry has experienced a boost with the opening of a new, expanded jetty in the island’s capital of Scarborough. The 960 feet jetty can now accommodate larger cruise ships, such as the Voyager-class, which can carry capacities of up to 3,114 passengers.
Princess Line will dock in Tobago 22 times during the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons and Ocean Village Line will make 13 calls to the island during the 2008/09 season.
