New hotel: Hyatt Regency Trinidad

October 2008 is carded as the completion date of a 428-room Hyatt Regency Hotel. The hotel will be a welcome addition to Trinidad for business travelers and convention goers.

Located thirty minutes from Piarco International Airport, Hyatt Regency Trinidad will be one of the few local venues to offer expansive state-of-the-art meeting facilities. With approximately 40,000 square-feet of flexible meeting space, the hotel will accommodate both large and small gatherings. Included in the function space are a 16,000 square-foot Grand Ballroom and a 10,000 square-foot multipurpose facility. New constructions: Golden Grove Hotel Project and Culloden Eco Resort, Tobago

Two Tobagonian properties are expected to commence construction during the first quarter of 2008, with an anticipated completion date of 18-24 months. These are the Golden Grove integrated hotel and resort project in the South West of the island, and the Culloden Eco-Resort Project on the Northern Coast of Tobago.


Airport renovations: Crown Point International Airport, Tobago

Tobago’s Crown Point International Airport is currently undergoing some minor renovations to increase the capacity of the arrival and departure lounges. Additionally, tenders are expected to go out for the construction of a new terminal building in early 2008.
