| See
the wonders of Caribbean wildlife
The Caribbean is best known by holidaymakers as a top tropical
beach destination, ideal for relaxing and luxurious breaks.
However, a new BBC wildlife programme is inspiring
holidaymakers to see a different side to the islands such
as St Lucia, Dominica, Cuba and Trinidad & Tobago.
Wild Caribbean - Treasure Islands focuses on
the wildlife across the islands - from green monkeys and flamingos
to yellow silky anteaters, as well as rainforest covered volcanic
landscapes, lagoons, deserts, caves, wetlands and coral reefs.
Wild Caribbean is currently showing on BBC 2,
Tuesday nights at 9pm.
Just call him Dr. Brian
Lara.
The West Indies captain has received an honorary doctorate
from the University of Sheffield in the U.K. for his achievements
on and off the cricket field.
Lara received the honour at a degree ceremony
in his native Trinidad & Tobago this week.
